Millom Community Market Shop came into existence in 2020 in the midst of a pandemic! With an aim to extend the link between Millom Network Centre Limited and the community, also to provide MNC with another funding stream to raise funds by selling good quality pre-loved clothing, accessories, household oddments, small appliances and so much more
that we get donated by our very generous patrons. The proceeds all go to supporting our community work.

Very quickly under guidance of our Manageress Jackie Wilson the shop became the place to call in for a warm welcome, a chance to find a bargain, source items needed and save items heading for landfill.

Every day our small but amazing team of volunteers’ sort through many items donated by supporters like you, including pre-loved women’s clothing, pre-loved men’s clothing and a range of one-off collectables. Not to mention our pre-loved home wares, wedding dresses, vinyl, music, books, and more. There’s always something new to discover at Millom Community Market Shop.

All we ask is that any items donated are of excellent clean condition as we need to be able to re-sell to our customers.

Meet The Team

Jackie Wilson

Jackie Wilson

Jackie is the Manageress and face of MCM a lady with a huge heart and desire to help all who need it, she has been with the shop since it’s opening.

Jackie has an amazing talent in matching an item to a customer that she knows would love that item, she will also actively source an item if she receives a request for a need for something in particular.

Jackie is also excellent in organising her team of dedicated volunteers to ensure the shop runs smoothly and continues to be such an asset within our little town.

Sean Wilson

Sean Wilson

Sean is the son of Jackie our Manageress, he can always be found sprucing up our window displays and helping to create a warm and fun atmosphere within the shop, he is also responsible for listing items on our eBay shop as yet another funding outlet to our charity.

Sean also organizes fundraising events (with the assistance of his Mum) he is responsible for organizing Millom’s first-ever and hugely successful ‘Drag Show’ that saw them raise £623.00 which was donated to Millom Network Centre to help us to continue building a stronger community.

Brenda Scott

Brenda Scott

Brenda is a truly wonderful and deeply dedicated volunteer; her warmth and sense of fun is an absolute pleasure in the shop. She greets everyone like a friend and everyone who leaves with a smile.

She actively supports Jackie in serving customers, but her main domain is behind the scenes, sorting donations and she is in charge of ‘The Steamer’ ensuring that everything displayed for sale in the shop is in its best possible condition.
